APPEARANCE: Kain Arrows possesses white hair and silver eyes, and his face is most notably obscured by a mask. He is a tall man of six feet, six inches and has broad shoulders. Kain’s voice is deep and described as many as sounding like thunder.
PERSONALITY / TRAITS: A man of few words, Kain is always more centered on action than talk. He is a very capable pilot and handles his battles really well. He has a sharp intuition for danger, and fights cautiously. He feels that fighting with naked emotion will only result in heartbreak, so he carefully masks his feelings, just like what he did to his face. In order to become what he truly wants to be, he has killed off his gentler emotions and totally gave in to Zeitgeist’s ideals.
On a few occasions Kain feels the conflict in him, especially his guilt in leaving parents and brother for dead in the colony. There is still some doubt in him whether Zeitgeist is the right nation to believe in, but still he holds Zeitgeist in higher regard than the AEO.
HISTORY: On paper, Kain Arrows is an ensign but he carries many special privileges not given to other soldiers. This is because he is a defector from the AEO and when he turned to the Zeitgeist’s side, he provided several classified information to Zeitgeist.
“Kain Arrows” is actually a codename. His real name is classified information, only known to his commanding officers within Zeitgeist. When he was young he lived with his parents and younger brother on an AEO colony. An assault was carried out by AEO’s enemies after the death of Isshin Yaho, and the colony was destroyed. Kain at that time, was a teenager and AEO cadet. He found a civilian shuttle and managed to escape. He believed that his brother and parents were dead.
Later he was told that his parents were dead and his younger brother was missing. He went through a period of grief and nearly lost his sanity.
After the incident he found out some sensitive information about AEO’s corruption, and he decided to leave. AEO officers made fun of Kain’s parents, who were left in the colony explosion, calling them traitors to the AEO. Kain was then approached by Zeitgeist agents who offered to bring him to Zeitgeist and indoctrinated him, turning him into one of their best soldiers in exchange for the leaked information.
