Graham’s GM Cannon slowly walked through the dense jungle. As he neared the location from which the red flare had been fired, Graham grew suspicious.
“That’s odd, there’s no evidence of either MS near here. That, and this path isn’t going to get me onto the top of the mountain. Thankfully there don’t seem to be any enemy MS nearby either, just a bunch of rocks.”
A few moments later, the GMs foot brushed over another rock. Graham expected to hear another dull vibration, as he was purposefully keeping his feet low to the ground to minimize the risk of seismic detection. However, instead of a dull rumble, there was a loud metallic clang followed by a lurch as the Cannon’s leg failed to leave the ground again. Turning the MS’ head down, Graham saw the source of his problems, a Z’gok. Graham scowled as he tried to wrench his suit free, only to find that the Z’gok’s actuators were more powerful than his own.
“Ah shit, this is the last thing we needed. It seems that the Zekes weren’t intent on honoring their part of the deal either. Thankfully the current numerical situation weighs in our favor. Time to go to work.”

Sgt. Ferrell, the original pilot of the Gundam, had been sitting inside the 56th Hovertruck since he was injured. When he heard about Osmond and Katoma's death, he was terribly shaken.
He was communicating with the Kojima Battallion this time, through the internet. One of Kojima's men, a Lieutenant, issued the order for the Philippine teams to retreat to the shore at once.
"What! The Gundam Ground Type we sent you was defeated?" said the EFF Region Director. "And you lost 6 mobile suits prior to that. And, you lost a GM Cannon and the Guntank! Goddamn you incompetent fools! Retreat to the beach right now!"
Kirkland's GM Ground was the only remaining mobile suit in the 24th. The team was virtually wiped out within a matter of 2 days. Had it not been for the 56th, which was also a fairly inadequate team, they would be slaughtered by the Chief and the Aesir Wolves.

Rap barely evaded the GM Cannon's attack. As soon as he heard the Chief's order, the Z'Gok climbed out of the fakking hole and ejected colored gas from its vents, to allow it to escape unseen. "Maybe next time we can play, Feddie!" he said, before jumping into the plains below.

Kirkland was walking through the jungle, following close behind Mason, when they were ambushed. A Z'Gok came out of a hole in the ground and got ahold of the leg of Graham's GM Cannon. Daniel then recieved a radio transmission
RX-178 wrote:
“This is Vulture. One bandit, my location. Kirkland, if you’ve found Osmond, move forward and commence engagement.”
Graham aimed it's main cannon at the head of the Zeon MS and fired, but by some miracle, he missed. Daniel aimed his GM's beam rifle, ready to attack, when the Z'gok jumped out of it's hole and spewed a colored smokescreen; when the smoke cleared, it was gone. Kirkland pounded his fist on the dashboard in frustration. "DAMN IT!!" He then turned his attention to the peak of the mountain, to see how the battle was going.
The Gundam was on it's knees when the Gouf lashed off it's head with a whip from it's heat rod, then it picked up the head of the defeated mech and kicked it like a football; the Gundam's metal carcass was then pushed down the mountain, rolling all the way to the bottom. Ensign Sylvan Cruz...was defeated. Daniel lowered his head in humiliation and shame, knowing that his entire mission had been in vain. without any hesitation, he turned on the GM's thrusters to maximum capacity, headed to the mountain's peak with the intent of destroying Lt. Guerrero's unit. He hopped his way up the steep mountain side, but when he made it to the top, he saw the Gouf far off in the distance, riding on a Gaw, he was too late.
Kirkland set his GM on it's knee and opened up the cockpit and stepped out. He spotted Sylvan laying face down on the ground and ran over to him; he turned him over and checked his pulse to find that he was still alive, then laid him back down. Daniel also worried about the fate of the girl and looked around for any trace of her; he found her laying on the ground, seeing that she was still breathing but unconscious. Kirkland was baffled to find that she and Sylvan were here and alive, but thought about that later. He got to his MS and radioed the camp to request an evac, one for 2 injured people, and one to retrieve the remains of the Gundam. Today was the worst defeat in Warrant Officer Daniel Kirkland's military career, but at least it wasn't a complete failure.

"Touched Heartstrings"
The Boss' orders to eject from the battlefield were a welcome relief. More casualties will happen if the fight dragged on for much longer. As Aicelle retreated, she saw something tumbling down the mountain. It was the headless body of the Gundam, with sparks flying out of the cockpit area.
"The Boss made it..." she told herself. She nodded her head, as if acknowledging the Gundam's death. "Rest in peace soldier..." she said, unaware that the Chief had spared Sylvan out of mercy.
Aicelle wanted to check if Clara was okay, but there seemed to be no time for that. As she retreated, the Zaku opened a large container, ejecting smoke throughout the mountain pass so that they couldn't be followed. "Whiskey Delta. Mission completed..."

Mt. Mataligahan, the summit...
Clara opened her eyes... she was alive. She observed her surroundings, with hazy vision, and saw no trace of the Zeon mobile suits. Beside her lay a Federation soldier, who was still alive, but unconscious. Gathering all of her energy, Clara tried to stand, but she couldn't. She fell to her knees and looked at the Ensign who rescued her. "Mister, mister, wake up..." she shook the Ensign. "I... gotta.. get help..." She then saw a Federation suit nearby, which belonged to Kirkland. "Sir! Help us please!" she waved at Kirkland, to get his attention.

"Aesir Wolves let's head home! This White Devil was a pussy... Meet me by the lake, Tom, Aicelle, Rap. Fall back now!"
"Understood, will arrive at designated location as soon as I can. See you there, sir. Vanguard out."
After turning off his radio Tom commanded his Zaku II to move back to the lake, moving cautiously lest the girl behind him gets injured by moving too quickly, and in case the Feddies decided not to honor their agreement.
After a little while he arrived at the shore and proceeded to check on the girl again.
He checked her head wound and sighed in relief when he saw it had stopped bleeding and it looked like it was healing nicely. He just wished she would wake up and tell him how she got there.

OST: Lost Resolution
Sylvan who had passed out for a quite some time now, was dreaming--rather having nightmares, he was reliving everything that happened in his nightmare, the ambush the unit had while still under Katoma's command. It was as if he came back in time, the blazing heat, the flames from the GM ruins the smell of burnt blood and steel.
Sylvan grimaced and grunted, his hand twitched a bit eventually clenching the ground lightly, the nightmares, continued inside his head, next that came up was the people falling from the sky because he didn't arrive early at Mt. Mataligahan. He saw the faces of the people, fear, despair embedded in it. He heard their shrieks and death wails, louder than he had first heard them, echoing again and again even though he was in the Cockpit already. Sylvan's hands shook as he held the Gundam's controls inside his dream as the voices echoed and then, he was relieved from the torture, for a moment he was pulled back to reality by a gentle shake on him and by a voice that he wasn't familiar with, but was kind. He opened his eyes, but only halfway, his vision was blurry, everything seemed to be a blur.
Quote :
"Mister, mister, wake up..."
Who are you...? How did you get here...? Are you...Clara?...Run away... were the faded thoughts inside his head he wanted to say, but he couldn't, his eyes closed again as he fell back to his nightmares.
Sylvan started to grit his teeth and sweat coldly. It was the recent duel with the Gouf he was reliving now. How he had become so hasty with fear and anger driving him, and for that price his friend and close confidant Paulver Osmond died. It seemed to be repeated in his dream again and again, as if the rewind button was pressed again and again.
"OSMOOOOONNNNDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he screamed in his dream.
He couldn't do anything for his friend, he made his friend die, for what? for his selfish decision? He ordered his friend to stay, so it was his friend's fault. But he was the commanding officer, he should have been able to foresee things as disobedience. Thoughts of doubt, regret and what-if's filled his head, as the voices of the dead ringed in his head as he got beat up by the Gouf as if it were some God of Justice.
Was it my fault...? Or was it plain circumstance? Did I really have to rescue Clara? Am I really a Zeke inside? because my family is? Why did i join this war anyway...? Why did i fight? Would things be easier if i just let katoma slide? What could've Shun done if it was him leading? Or what if I followed Graham's advice? Had I been too arrogant...?
Someone...-
"...Help me..." He whispered in his sleep weakly with a hoarse voice, as a tear came from his right eye "Everyone...I'm...sorry..."
And so, was the state of Sylvan as he lay unconcious, drowning in his nightmare and fears.

(MSL may i take the GM Cannon's Shield, as it was my kill? I want to present it to Rap so that his Z'Gok gains some sort of defense?)
Aicelle grabbed the fallen GM Cannon's shield and continued to follow Tom. She looked at the Feddie shield and thought that it would be a nice addition to her armor. But Ensign Rap Goblin's Zgok lacks a decent form of defense, and she thought it would be nice to give him the shield.
"Sir Goblin," Aicelle called out to Rap, "I have no use for this shield. Perhaps you can take it and arm your Z'Gok with it. It would look really nice..." she said, as the Zaku ran towards the lake. Overhead, the Gaw was flying high in the sky.

Mountain summit…
Music: "Aesthetic"
Clara wasn’t able to answer the other Feddie’s question. She looked at the man lying down on her lap, Sylvan. She tried to look for an ID, but only found Sylvan’s nameplate. “Ensign Sylvan Cruz”, it read. Clara stroked the young ensign’s face gently. She could’ve sworn she saw his eyes twitch. Thankful that the man was alive, Clara’s tears rolled down her cheeks. The nightmare should be finally over, as Zeon had left the mountain.
Vultures swooped down and started to peck at the unconscious Ensign. Clara grabbed a long branch and drove the large predatory birds away from Sylvan. They must have thought that the man was a goner. “Stay back! He’s not dead! He will live!” Clara screamed angrily at the vultures.
The actress tore off a fragment of her white dress and bandaged Sylvan’s wounds. She kept gazing at her savior, sad that she wasn’t able to do much to save him. After she found herself too powerless to stop her filming crew from dying, she decided she would do everything under her power to save this man.
She was holding Slyvan’s hands tight. His pulse seemed to be weakening. With no knowledge of proper life-saving procedures however, all she could recall was what she saw on TV. She placed her two hands right above Sylvan’s chest and started to CPR the hell out of him. “Please live Ensign…” she softly whispered. She pressed her mouth towards his, to deliver air. It was almost like a kiss, a very soft and lonely kiss. A familiar song plays in her mind, a song that was sung in the first season of "Tears of Laplace," the drama that brought her to fame. (that song on top of this post)
Would it be enough to bring the Ensign back from the brink of death? Only time will tell…
Longing for you day and in dream I'm hoping you are here, leading my way
You steer my road, anytime I need If you walk away, I will follow you
Trying my life With your secret gifts you gave to me I won't fail and succeed it as your precious soul
Holding your hand As I'm walking through the all of the world
Carrying your wish like the Venus in the dim sky...

Palawan Coast
The region commander’s ship was within the vicinity. When he heard that the 24th MS team had been wiped out, he was furious. Immediately, he contacted the 56th MS team and demanded that they rendezvous with his fleet immediately.
“56th MS team, this is the region commander. I am telling all of you to abandon the mission right now! You have wasted valuable resources! Bring Clara Del Valle along with you!” Having vented all of his anger, he smashed the satellite phone to the floor. “How incompetent can these fucktards get!?” he yelled, gnashing his teeth madly.
His assistant interrupted him. “Sir, are we going to send in others to do the job? What if we refit them with more advanced weapon—“ The commander punded his fist at the table.
“NO! They’ve had their chance! I want them aboard this ship within 6 hours! I shall personally slap ALL OF THEM for this. They even got a Colonel’s nephew killed due to their stupidity. How do we explain this to the Ensign Mundara’s uncle? What, that he had been stepped on by a Zaku? Fuck! According to his latest posts on Facebook, his teammates committed MUTINY against him! Thus he was forced to act on his own!”
(Feddies, return to the ship within six hours. I will implement the timeskip starting from this post. All of you, including Silvan and Clara should be at the ship.
Indicate that it is 6:00 PM in your next posts people
Also, Aicelle's request had been granted, That is, if Rap chooses to equip the GM Cannon's shield)

I Believe In You
Sylvan was walking aimlessly inside his dark dream, while the dead people that were in his dream were blaming him for their deaths, even his friend Paulver Osmond. He walked on with no light in his dream, just a dark path and those demented faces of distorted dead wailing, scratching and attacking him as he walked.
I know I got you all killed...even got the Gundam in ruins...I should die too right? I took forceful command, even though i had no experience. Heck it was my first day as an ensign...
Sylvan continued to walk on until he felt strong wind pass him and a strange whoosh sound. He was on the edge of Mt. Mataligahan the ghosts of the dead ushering him to die with them as well.
"Very well..." He took another step towards the cliff's edge. He can feel the wind from the cliff now. "I'll die to make up for it...for your lives..."
He was prepared to jump off the cliff when he heard the voice again, the kind voice of the woman that woke him up earlier.
You again...? He thought as he turned around, and saw a small light. "Huh...? What is this light...?"
Quote :
"Stay back! He's not dead! He will live!"
Sylvan took another step towards the light, but it was blinding, so he held up both his arms to shield his eyes as he stepped closer to the light.
Quote :
"Please live Ensign!"
"huh... What did she just say?"
Sylvan tried to grab the light as if to take away the light as it grew greater. And then the bright light seemed to swallow him, Feeling something warm on his lips, and breath coming into his throat, he slowly opened his eyes, his vision blurred along with all his other senses, until it slowly came back to him, his vision, his sense of touch, hearing everything.
He saw the long brown hair of a young girl. He blinked his eyes as he realized she was kissing him, her trying CPR on him. He slowly moved his arms and then moved her away slowly as to not be rude and then coughed, and then without himself telling his body to. He gasped for air and coughed again.
He then looked to Clara whom he saw had red swollen eyes, from crying perhaps. Sylvan only managed to avert his gaze to the side, as he tried to sit up weakly.
"Thanks for saving me..." was all the words he could mutter hoarsely. He took another deep breath and tried to speak although it was hard for him as he could still feel the jolt of electricity the Boss Chief sent to him. "Ironic how that works...I was supposed to save you...but you save me instead...I'm in your debt i guess..." he grunted as he spoke with barely any strength behind his words.
And then he heard some more whirring sound. He turned his head to the side to the best he can and saw two Chinooks.
"Looks like the cavalry is here..." He turned to look at Clara. "You're safe now..."
He saw Kirkland's GM on the summit with them and was being fit in into the other Chinook.
So he disobeyed an order too?
The other Chinook touched down and out came men with a stretcher and a female soldier who put a blanket around Clara and escorted her to the Chinook, as Sylvan was put into the stretcher and was carried to the Chinook with haste.
"What's going on?" Sylvan asked one of the men carrying the stretcher he was in.
"Orders for retreat are issued out sir! We are ordered to pull back and meet up with the main fleet back in the Palawan shores sir!"
Guess this goes as Mission Failed on my records then... He thought dryly.
Sylvan was then transferred into the gurney type of stretcher, when the Chinook immediately lifted off the ground. The Chinook didn't get far when Sylvan saw Osmond's GM remains.
"Help me up! Help me up I say!" Sylvan ordered as one of the men helped Sylvan up and supported him as he sat up reluctantly.
Sylvan saluted at Osmond's GM remains as uncontrollable tears flowed out from his eyes without him noticing.
"Good-bye Osmond...my good friend...See you in the far side..."
Sylvan then thanked the man supporting him and then lay back in the gurney stretcher again and faced Clara.
"Don't worry about me...I'll take a nap now..."
Sylvan closed his eyes again and slept off like a child this time without his nightmares.
6:00 pm E.F.S.F Carrier Fleet
The Chinook that Clara and Sylvan was in finally touched down on one of the Carrier's Helipads after a few hours of flying, Sylvan was the first to be brought down, his Gurney Stretcher immediately taken into the Ward of the Carrier with Great Importance, there he was put into a real hospital bed and was given emergency treatment by the Doctors and nurses on board the Carrier. He was put under watch after, as his condition may become unstable again soon.

In the dense jungle. 6:00 P.M. After long hours of combat with the Zeon forces, the call to withdraw came through.
Quote :
“56th MS team, this is the region commander. I am telling all of you to abandon the mission right now! You have wasted valuable resources! Bring Clara Del Valle along with you!
Damn....the order to with draw. And.....I didn't....even fire a single shot... Shun started to move his Gm towards the survivors to rendezvous and head back. Wasted valuable resources my ass...they barely sent us anything..... *sigh* I guess we're just disposable resources ourselves... Shun's GM walked passed what remains of Sgt. Osmond's GM cannon. Shun opened his cockpit hatch and stood up to give a final salute to Sg.t Osmond before heading back. *salutes*.................. After giving his salute and moment of silence he closes his hatch and moves on....
A long march back to Palawan Coast took a heavy toll on Shun and his 56th MS team. Even when they reached their destination they were ordered to quickly move their equipment and Mobile suits onto the loading crafts to be taken to the E.F.S.F fleet that was docked nearby. Shun moved his GM sniper type into loading position and exited the machine
*sigh*....what a disaster that was.... Shun looked around the loading area. ............. Immediately, Shun walked towards the shore to the personnel transport boat that was to take him back to the main Carrier ship. But before boarding he saluted to his team and for their tired less efforts during the difficult mission.
Once inside, the boat go underway to the main carrier ship. Shun sat down and folded his arms together and stared out the window. Thinking to himself.... Before I make my report to the Region Commander.....I should probably check up on Ensign Cruz and the others....to see how they're doing..... Shun pressed his hair that covered his left face. ......I guess i'm...still weak..after all...
Shun's boat continued its way towards the Main E.F.S.F carrier...

6:00 PM, E.F.N. Himalaya class carrier
Graham stood along the side of the carrier, watching his GM Cannon being lowered below decks for inspection and some minor repairs to the claw marks the enemy Z’gok had left. Sighing, Graham turned away from his machine and began walking towards the deck hatch. Drawing his battered silver dollar from its pocket, he began flipping it in the air.
“Well, this was an unmitigated disaster. Three mobile suits, including a valuable Gundam type, mission killed in less than one day in exchange for one enemy suit damaged. Man, there’s going to be hell to pay for this one. And sadly, most of this oncoming scrutiny will probably be focused on Ensign Cruz’ command decisions following Katoma’s disappearance. That’s actually quite unfortunate, as most of his decisions were sound, if not the most agreeable to me. He tried to keep unit casualties to a minimum and make the best of a bad situation, not to mention prevent civilian deaths.”
Reaching the deck hatch, Graham straightened his E.F.S.F. uniform and ducked inside. Dodging the navy crew in the hallways, he made his way towards the medical wing.
“I hope that Cruz made it out of that Gundam in one piece. That wreckage was pretty fried when I passed by en route to the fleet. Best to check on him. From what I can see, we’ll be spending a lot more quality time together in the days to come. That, and I might need to find out if there is anything that could affect either how the brass look upon this engagement or what I personally should mention in my report. If the battalion commander alone was an indicator, things are going to get ugly real quick.”
Walking through the medical bay, Graham came upon the bed marked for Ensign Cruz. Pushing the curtain aside slowly, he leaned into the niche. Talking rather softly so as not to disturb the other patients, or Cruz, were he unconscious.
“Hey Cruz, you up man? Thought you could use a friendly face around here given what’s happened.”

"Hey Cruz, you up man? Thought you could use a friendly face around here given what's happened."
Sylvan heard a familiar voice yet again while he was taking a nap, this time a man.
One after the other...Osmond if you're sending people here from heaven just to keep me alive, Imma kill you again when i get there... He said in his head.
Sylvan slowly opened his eyes, and raised his arm with a two finger salute as it was the best he could do given his current situation.
"Hey there, Mason, made it out in one piece yeah? Though my Gundam didn't share the same fate, Got his head taken and all...and his body deeply fried too." He said hoarsely, but with a bit of strength behind his voice now.
"Sit down man...Glad to have visitors around...So seen Clara? is she fine? no injuries and all?" Sylvan looked up at the ceiling then to Graham. " I lost a good man out there Graham...A good friend... Fucking more painful than my current injuries"
Sylvan put his hand over his cheek where a small bandage was, and then his forehead that was wrapped with tight bandages.
"As you see, my good friend, the Gouf fried me inside the cockpit, He wanted me well done...Question was...Why did i even live?"

6:00 P.M. Zeon Base
After returning his undamaged Zaku II to the hanger, Tom carried the little girl he had saved in his arms to the infirmary where he had a doctor check her out. The medic told him that she would be fine after a good night's rest.
Thanking him he took her to his room and laid her on his bed, tucking her in. Grabbing a pillow and a sleeping bag that he keeps on hand lest he has to sleep in the wild or during an assignment he made sure the little one was resting well before turning the lights off and getting in. He fell asleep soon after.

A six-foot-tall blonde man entered the infirmary where Sylvan and Graham were. Accompanying him were two bodyguards, each of them carrying a rifle. This eye-catching man was none other than the SE Asia Philippine Region Commander, Captain Brando Magnusson. Reputed to be more terrifying than Dozle Zabi himself, Magnusson is a strict officer who tolerates very little mistakes. When he saw Sylvan lying in bed, Magnusson grabbed the doctor's instruments and hurled it at the nurse.
"What, the fuck, are all of you doing!? This ship has state of the art equipment, and yet all you can do is watch this Ensign's life fade away. I want him back in action in a few days! And you, you fat-ass bitchy nurses you, where is the fucking doctor!?" Magnusson roared, reminiscent of a hungry tyrannosaur.
While the nurse was picking up the instruments, the doctor came in and shyly said "sorry". Irritated, the Captain picked up a tray and broke it on the doctor's face. "Sorry ain't gonna cut it you fucking dickhead!" he said, gnashing his teeth, "Work, work, work on these injured men because they will be fighting in the shit-ass city of Manila within this week! Fuck you and your stupid lame-ass excuses, Doctor Walsh!"
The enraged Captain then turned to Graham and grabbed him by the collar. He shook the more slender man violently.
"You incompetent blasted bitchasses wasted a perfectly fine RX-79! Why the hell did you let this brown nigger pilot it? Oooh shit! All you need are tits and you'd pass off as ugly women! Where are your dicks!? You let the Zeon take them away from you!?" roared Magnusson. He let Graham go and exited the infirmary.
